Interview with Kees Holterman

Whats your name

Kees Holterman

How long have you been doing art for

My mom's a painter, and I grew up watching her in her studio doing what she loves. When I was 8 or 9, I asked her if I could stay home from school (my dad was out of town so I could get away with that stuff). She told me I didn't have to go if I stayed home and worked on a painting with her for the duration of the school day. We worked for 8 hours, with a lunch break, and I remember being really stoked on how much fun it was to focus so hard and be intensely creative. I think that's where I got the idea to want to do that for a job or for the rest of my life.

How old are you
