Whats your name

Albert Negron III

How long have you been doing art for

As far back as I can remember I've always done art. It's always been my happy place. From crayons to paint or ketchup and mustard on a plate.

How old are you

I'm 42

Where you from

Born in the Bronx NYC, raised across the USA  and back. I've made Pennsylvania my home twice in my life and the Lehigh Valley has been my home for the last 12 years

What kind of art do you do aka genre

I would call my artwork "abstract/street" "colors for the soul". Something to make you feel good and brighten up your atmosphere.

Which one do you do the most
I just play with colors and let my creativity flow. Most of the time it's a freestyle on canvas. So I basically just do what I do.

Why do you do that type of art the most

I do that type of artwork because it represents who I am. It has literally become my lifestyle. I am street/abstract. I like to color outside the lines. I am a Freedom painter!

What is the general theme around your works
The general theme of my art work is based on my brand "Better Days Will Come " or the acronym "BDWC". It's an expression of hope and faith that no matter how bad your situation may be, thing can and will get better.

What is the muse or goal your trying to achieve

I was a tattoo artist for 10 years. Along with that lifestyle I was associated with a lot of negative activities. I found myself in the moment of truth. A moment of clarity. I had a spiritual encounter. The question was "How did I truly want to spend the rest of my life?" That's when I gave my heart to Jesus Christ and discovered a new outlet through a paint brush. That's when I started to develop my brand. "Better Days Will Come"  and the Rose.  The rose signature mark is a representation of rising up from darkness to brighter and better days to come. Most of my works are done with bright colors which I found makes people feel good

Have you been in any gallery’s recently
My most recent gallery was in Harlem NYC at the RAW Gallery. It was hosted by Divine Works LLC. The title of the gallery was "A Night Of Prophetic Artworks". I was one of six artists.

Any big projects happening
The only project I have coming up is being apart of the Southside Bethlehem flower planters project. I was approved for a few designs and should be jumping on them real soon.

Any big plans

My plans are to keep painting and creating new pieces. I'd like to be apart of more galleries and exhibits. I'd love to get involved with fashion garments and accessories. The best is yet to come.

Anything you wish you could of talked about
I'd like to say to everyone taking notice to this interview, no matter what you do in life, find the one skill that is consistent in your life that makes you happy. Hone it, make it yours. Don't give up your day job, but continue your craft on your own time. You never know which one would be a success, this one or that one. Being successful in both ain't too bad either. Better Days Will Come.

Have any shameless plugs you want to give
I'd like to give a shout out to God for making all things possible. Shout out to my son Isaiah @helmetjack and my wife Tina for being my biggest support. Shout out to Nano @thelifeofnano of ABE Empire / MVMNT Boutique for giving me my first exhibit. Shout out Shaniqua Lewis of Divine Works LLC @christianartistry for letting me be a part of the "A Night Of Prophetic Artworks" gallery.
